Day 38: The Countess of Cornwall's Jacobean Manor at Bryher

I have devoted this entire post to our dear friend Oona, The Countess of Cornwall.

This Jacobean Manor House was pretty much the first item she bought from us and she asked if we would make some modifications.

The changes she asked for made such an improvement that we updated the model we sell on the sim.

That was our first taste of her unerring sense of style and our first steps towards the close friendship we now enjoy.

Before I take you on a tour of the interior I have taken some outside shots to show the lovely setting Oona has created.

The house is set in a mountainous valley with an enchanted forest at the front.......

........and a peaceful lake at the back.

You can see both from this ariel shot.

This wall fountain is a typical detail of the type in which this property abounds.

When you arrive at Bryher you land in an Enchanted Forest and may spot a deer out of the corner of your eye.

The front door opens into a magnificent hall.

Here it is in close up.

Turning to the right you find a drawing room and get a chance to view some of the beautiful artwork.

The elegance of the room......

....makes it a pleasure to explore.

Crossing the hall leads you into the main reception room....

....with its grand piano.....

...and quiet reading area.

Double doors lead into the conservatory.

Here there is a comfortable seating area....

...or two!

The double branched staircase leads onto the upstairs landing.

With a further drawing room.....

...to the left.

The Master Bedroom is on the right.

It is dominated by this huge four poster bed.

I hope you enjoyed the tour!
Thank you Oona.

Day 37: More things customers do...................

Here is another blogpost devoted to you, our customers, all the pictures here have been sent to me to show us how you used the items you bought from ArchiTech Design.

We never cease to be enthralled and amazed by what you do with our  products.

Here, Albus McAuley has used some of our bridges.......

and trees on his land.

Odelia Emmons used our Small Spring Gazebo  for her Solarium.

Mystique Ashland has used our Cottage Garden with Wooden Fence to great effect.

Deanne used our Mossy Path...

...the Milestone gift...

and many of our Spring planting items to create this lovely home.

Etrange Braveheart has created an atmospheric corner of the SL world...

..... with a meditation corner.....

 ...........a sea view........

...and a stepped boat dock.

Recently a few people asked us for the fountain we use in our ponds so Logan Willow added it to his.

Renee Caxton loves our path.

Serenity Quandar loves our trees...

..which nestle round her home.

Siri Vita had a similar plan.

Starlyn Yates put her 'Flock' home on our Rock Base up in the sky.

Valerie Inshan used the planted gateway in her garden.

Tika Fegte used the Cottage Garden around Little Ivy Cottage.

Day 36: Water's Edge

This is a bit of a new one for us.....we built a modern beach home and we added a rocky base with swirly foam and water.

Here it is viewed from above, we placed it on a sand island in the middle of the sea.

If you want to put it in the sky or on a platform it comes with a water prim to add to authenticity.

We had a lot of fun with the windows...

....many of which roll up like a blind to let the outdoors in.

There are spacious decks on the upper floor...

...and you can roll the windows up and down.....

..at both ends....

If you open all the windows you can see daylight right through.

There is a spiral staircase (and a TP) opposite the main entrance.

Cane and rattan furniture...

....create wonderful areas to relax in.

If it is a bit chilly a cosy fire creates a warm corner.

If it is warm......get your  cozzie on!

From a distance you can see the versatility...

..and open up spaces to suit your needs.

If you need privacy, there is an ideal bedroom space downstairs.

The granite steps make an imposing entrance....

..and the sense of outdoor living is strong.

You can buy the base separately....

 and enjoy having a platform.....

...on which to place a home of your choice!

Personally, I like it like this.

Both products are on sale in ArchiTech Design 'Beach'
