Day 38: The Countess of Cornwall's Jacobean Manor at Bryher

I have devoted this entire post to our dear friend Oona, The Countess of Cornwall.

This Jacobean Manor House was pretty much the first item she bought from us and she asked if we would make some modifications.

The changes she asked for made such an improvement that we updated the model we sell on the sim.

That was our first taste of her unerring sense of style and our first steps towards the close friendship we now enjoy.

Before I take you on a tour of the interior I have taken some outside shots to show the lovely setting Oona has created.

The house is set in a mountainous valley with an enchanted forest at the front.......

........and a peaceful lake at the back.

You can see both from this ariel shot.

This wall fountain is a typical detail of the type in which this property abounds.

When you arrive at Bryher you land in an Enchanted Forest and may spot a deer out of the corner of your eye.

The front door opens into a magnificent hall.

Here it is in close up.

Turning to the right you find a drawing room and get a chance to view some of the beautiful artwork.

The elegance of the room......

....makes it a pleasure to explore.

Crossing the hall leads you into the main reception room....

....with its grand piano.....

...and quiet reading area.

Double doors lead into the conservatory.

Here there is a comfortable seating area....

...or two!

The double branched staircase leads onto the upstairs landing.

With a further drawing room.....

...to the left.

The Master Bedroom is on the right.

It is dominated by this huge four poster bed.

I hope you enjoyed the tour!
Thank you Oona.
